"No water, no freedom of movement."

For more than 8 hours, 40 Albanian students from Tirana traveling to join the Albanian language protest in Skopje say they faced pressure, constant checks, and unacceptable treatment from Macedonian authorities.

According to their testimonies, after being stopped at the Bllata border, the students were searched one by one and were taken from Dibra to Kumanovo, even though their destination was Skopje.

They say they were accompanied by police the entire time and were not even allowed to stop to buy water, food, or perform personal needs.
