The head of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, as the situation in the Assembly does not resemble normal, as there are strong tensions, requested a vote without debate on the agenda.

Peleshi put the request to the vote, while the opposition opposed it by throwing flares into the hall. Tensions and strong clashes still continue. For more, see the video.

In his speech, Balla expressed with irony that the opposition's behavior is related to the attempt to motivate its supporters to participate in the announced protest, sacrificing the institutional debate and respect for parliamentary procedures. "With the hope that the supporters of the Democratic Party will be motivated to go to the announced protest, the opposition is hindering the normal development of the Assembly's work," declared Balla. He emphasized that, in full respect of parliamentary procedure and based on Article 49, point 1 of the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly, the majority is unable to develop the discussions foreseen in the agenda of the day, including important issues such as the fight against crime.

"Today we had important discussions on the agenda, including the fight against crime, but it seems clear that the opposition does not want a debate and does not allow the normal development of the session", said Balla. In these conditions, the Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group called on the Assembly to proceed according to the rules of procedure. "Please, let's immediately proceed to the vote, according to my proposal", concluded Balla.
