A family has lost their lives in a tragic accident on the Fier-Vlora axis, near the village of Panaja, or the area known as “Kripa”. Journalist Enrik Mehmeti reported for “BalkanWeb"This is about the Gushi family from Patos, with four members, a husband, wife and two daughters."

Three of them died on the spot, while the father Eduard Gushi is suspected to have died in hospital. The family had just returned from Greece and were going on holiday, while the bags and suitcases that were in their Toyota car were scattered on the road.

"As a result of the accident, the 4 people who were traveling with the 'Toyota' vehicle died, citizens EG, 44 years old, SG, 33 years old, AG, 14 years old and EG, 9 years old.
Meanwhile, the 3 citizens who were traveling in the 'Audi' vehicle, IM, F. L and GS, are receiving treatment at the Vlora hospital, and their lives are out of danger.
"The investigation team is continuing its work to clarify the circumstances of the accident," the police announced.

There are numerous stop signs in place for several meters.
Meanwhile, in the "Audi" vehicle, which is suspected of having fallen behind the "Toyota" vehicle in which the Gushi family was traveling, there were three people. Two of them were injured and taken to the hospital, while a third was not injured. Journalist Mehmeti said that the traffic director was also at the scene.

The car also crashed into a pole, breaking it in the middle and knocking out power to a business. It is initially believed that high speed was a factor in the serious accident.
