DP leader Sali Berisha held a meeting with American Albanians this Sunday in New Jersey.
Berisha was greeted with cheers from those present in the hall. Among those present, chants of "Rama in prison" were also heard.
"It was an extraordinary pleasure to meet you, the undefeated voice of Albanians in freedom. I had the great fortune to meet that constellation of the Albanian Diaspora, which with its patriotism, democratic ideals and an extraordinary contribution to the overthrow of the communist dictatorship in Albania, and fought for the freedom of Kosovo. The Albanian Diaspora in the USA is the good white destiny of the Albanian nation," said Berisha.
Berisha further emphasized that today is an extraordinary day.
For us today is an unusual day, it is a day that for me evokes emotions. Many have thought it impossible. They have thought of it as a day they would never see, because many of us have asked ourselves, who are we to challenge an injustice when it is done by forces many times greater than us.
