Indonesia has been hit by a strong earthquake. According to the US Geological Survey, the quake registered a magnitude of 6.7 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake was centered southeast of Palu in Central Sulawesi province and was recorded at 10:27 a.m. (UTC local time; 06:27 GMT).

The recorded footage that has been circulating online shows moments of panic, of citizens rushing to leave endangered areas.
