The fire situation on Mount Kruja continues to be alarming, while the difficult terrain is hindering the intervention of firefighting vehicles.

Two helicopters continue the operation from the air, dropping water on the Abaze neighborhood area and on the surfaces engulfed by the flames, in order to localize and stop the spread of the fire. Kruja firefighters are also positioned on the ground, operating near the mountain, where several businesses are at risk, as well as the sacred site of Sarisalltik.

The situation is particularly worrying in the Abaze neighborhood, where the flames are threatening about 30 homes. The neighborhood has a total of about 300 homes, while residents are on alert due to the progress of the fire. Firefighters and emergency teams are continuing their efforts to isolate the fires, while intervention from the ground remains difficult due to the mountainous terrain.
