Recent rainfall has caused flooding in several homes in the Bradashesh Administrative Unit, near the area of ​​the Former Metallurgical Plant in Elbasan, bringing concern back to residents.

According to the Civil Emergency structures of the Elbasan Municipality, the situation has worsened due to the blockage of drainage channels, which are suspected to have been filled with inert materials by the Sallillari company. Authorities emphasize that this is the second time that the company has been accused of irresponsible interference in the area's drainage system.

Another factor is the overflow of the Kusha stream bed, which has also been filled with thousands of cubic meters of inert material, significantly reducing its capacity to withstand water flows during intense rainfall.

Residents are expressing outrage and demanding immediate changes, demanding the cleaning of the canals and the return of the stream to normal parameters, to avoid further floods in the future.

Meanwhile, the responsible institutions are conducting field verifications to determine responsibilities and take administrative and legal measures against entities that may have contributed to the worsening of the situation. Work is also underway to open drainage channels by the Sallillari company.
