An elderly man, dressed in traditional costume, joined the protest in front of the Ministry of Education. In a statement to the journalist of News24, Klevis Muka, he said that he does not represent any political force, but that he has come out in support of students and citizens.
"I do not represent any party. I do not want to be infected with any of them, I am with the Albanians. I am pro-students. I was born in Mirdita, in a village that has been without sewage for 35 years.
"That's why I protest for the pensions of pensioners my age, for the law on pensions to be put in place, for all the facilities that the village has and not just the city. All of Albania must be beautified. I don't belong to any party. The youth here is the most beautiful party in the world, which is being washed and poisoned," the old man said.
