The majority rejects the opposition's request to remove the election of the People's Advocate from the agenda.

With 77 votes against, 30 in favor and one abstention, the request was rejected and the name of the Ombudsman was selected today. The abstention vote was by the MP of the Joint Movement, Redi Muçi.

Earlier, the opposition declared that it had withdrawn the signatures for the candidates and requested the cancellation of the process. But for the majority, there is no turning back and the vote for the Ombudsman will take place today.

There are 6 candidates who will be put to the vote in the Assembly, Endri Shabani, Adriana Kalaja, Besim Ndregjoni, Aranita Braho, Skënder Haluci and Tartar Bazaj.
