Greek police have cracked down on a criminal group suspected of organizing a series of jewelry robberies in the Attica region, arresting nine people aged between 21 and 45.

According to authorities, the robbers only had a minute to force their way into the jewelry stores and steal the valuables. Security camera footage shows the perpetrators breaking into the store entrances and, within seconds, taking everything they found, handing it over to accomplices waiting outside.

The jewelry was loaded into crates and trash cans to avoid being noticed, while the perpetrators then fled in stolen vehicles.

The police operation resulted in the seizure of jewelry worth approximately 370 thousand euros, as well as 4 thousand euros in cash.

According to investigations, the gang is suspected of committing robberies at 13 jewelers, located mainly in the areas of Piraeus, Koridallos, Nikaias, Moschatos and other parts of Attica.

The arrested individuals have been charged with forming and participating in a criminal organization, aggravated theft committed in an organized and repeated manner, damage to property, and money laundering. Three of them have been remanded in custody by decision of the Greek authorities.
