Moments of tension were recorded during the protest held in Tirana, where a group of opposition supporters threw Molotov cocktails towards villa 31, known as the home of former dictator Enver Hoxha, in the Blloku area.

According to the footage he provided BalkanWeb, flames have engulfed parts of the building, while at the time of the attack several people were inside the premises. The footage shows them running in panic and alarm.

There were moments of tension and clashes between protesters and police in several areas of the capital. The officers intervened using pressurized water and tear gas.

DP representatives said they were unaware whether there were people inside the dictator's villa, which had been converted into an artists' residence, at the moment the Molotov cocktails were thrown.
