After about two hours trapped in his office after protesters blocked the entrances to the Prime Minister's Office, Edi Rama has left the building under strict security measures.
It was the moment when protesters began marching through the streets of Tirana, which was used to remove the head of government from office.
With national flags, banners, and symbols of the "Flamingo Revolution", citizens have been standing in front of the building since 20:00 PM, while calls against the government have continued throughout the evening.
"We decide here!", "Rama, go!" and "Rama, dictator!" were some of the protesters' chants.
Numerous State Police and FNSH forces have been deployed on the ground, creating a security cordon around the building. The situation has been tense at times, as officers have attempted to remove protesters from the entrances to the Prime Minister's Office.
Under these conditions, the prime minister's departure from the building was accompanied by strict security measures. Footage obtained from the protest shows the moment when Rama's escort leaves the area, while a large presence of security forces ensures passage.
