Fear and panic have been experienced by passengers traveling with Arik Air in Nigeria. An explosion occurred during the flight, and one of the plane's engines was destroyed.
The incident recorded by passengers on board an Arik Air flight shows the left engine destroyed while the plane was flying from Lagos to Port Harcourt.
Passengers kept their cool despite the dramatic visuals from the cabin when the left engine (CFM56-7B20) of Arik Air Boeing 737-700 (Regd. 5N-MJF) failed while losing a portion of the inlet cowl.

Because of this, the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in Benin, while fortunately no injuries were reported.
