TIRANA A grand protest in Tirana for 5 hours straight. Albanians have awakened every young man and woman, the elderly, children, parents, big and small, they have come together and are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The protests have been taking place in the capital for nine days, and have been among the most massive, the most magnificent, and a civil and civic example. Unlike what we have learned from past protests. Albanians are saying goodbye to the corrupt regime of Prime Minister Edi Rama and are demanding his resignation.
Left without rights, without education, without healthcare, without infrastructure with massive departures of Albanians, pensioners left with ridiculous pensions. This protest is of everyone and for everyone and above all for the Homeland.
"The homeland is not for sale", "New Albania", "Edi Rama resign", "Opposition sold out", "Ethnic Albania", were the slogans that echoed in the streets of Tirana throughout the protest.
This protest has blocked all the main roads of Tirana and above all, the protesters have been supported by citizens, passers-by, motorbike and car drivers, honking their horns and cheering, calling on them not to give up, but to fight until the end.
Never before have so many Albanians been together in Tirana, with energy and with their just demands for a life of dignity, freedom and justice.
The protest has also resonated abroad. Albanians from Germany, London, Switzerland, Milan, Florence, and many other countries have come out in protest in support of this rally that began in Tirana, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
