In order to promote the trade of local produce, a turkey fair was organized in the city of Peqin. This year, turkeys are being sold for between 1,000 and 1,200 lek per kilogram, a price that farmers consider unfavourable.
As a result, they require more support and attention from state institutions, as they are unable to cover the costs of breeding.
