Violence is rampant in Albanian football. In the youth championship, in the match between Luftëtari U-19 and Shkëndija e Tirana U-19, a massive brawl involved both teams. The episode that took place at the “Andon Lapa” stadium in Saranda required the referee’s intervention to stabilize the situation.
Of course, the Disciplinary Committee, after reviewing the footage, will make decisions, which will certainly include suspensions and penalties. Such cases are not at all appropriate for the most popular sport, while they set Albanian football back many years.
