Students from the University of Tetovo, Mother Teresa University, and the South East European University have started the protest in Skopje.

The protest started at the entrance to the Stone Bridge and will continue in front of the Ministry of Justice.

Students have stated that they are facing ongoing injustice, as they are not allowed to take the jurisprudence exam in the Albanian language, even though this right is guaranteed by the Constitution and law.

Also at the protest, students are seen holding various banners, which read, "The law on languages is clear"; "Stop institutional discrimination"; "Respect the law on language, respect the Constitution" as well as "Do not deny an acquired right."

They have also called on all citizens, institutions and social actors to support their peaceful protest.

This issue has recently attracted increased attention, as 385 Albanian students from the three respective universities have signed a petition, demanding that the jurisprudence exam be held in Albanian as well, in accordance with their legal rights.
