The 53rd protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama has been accompanied not only by speeches and political appeals, but also by symbolic forms of protest that have attracted attention.
A group of students performed an artistic performance in front of the Prime Minister's Office, ironizing the Albanian political class through a scene conceived as a poker game, where the fate of Albania was at stake at the "table".
Sitting around a table with playing cards, the students held up photographs of well-known political figures in front of their faces, including Prime Minister Edi Rama, Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, as well as Belinda Balluku, Taulant Balla, Erion Braçe, Flamur Noka, Sara Mila, Zegjine Çaushi, and Ardit Bido.
The most significant element of the performance were the poker chips, which instead of monetary values carried photographs of various cities in Albania.
Through this detail, the students aimed to convey the message that cities, wealth, and the future of the country are being treated as "stakes" in a political game.
The performance was followed with interest by the protesters and became one of the most special moments of the rally, conveying a critical message towards the political class through art.
