A boat has been blocked by the police and its driver has been fined 500.000 new lek.
According to the police, the driver of the dinghy violated the maritime security perimeter in the area of Harta Bay, in Ksamil, sailing within the space reserved for vacationers, posing a direct threat to their lives and safety.
After the complaints, there was a police raid and the vehicle was impounded.
"The Border Police calls on all boat drivers to strictly respect the beach safety perimeter and navigation rules. Any violation that endangers the life and safety of vacationers will be detected and punished with the measures provided for by the legislation in force. The Border Police Services continue intensive controls in all coastal areas, with the aim of guaranteeing the safety of vacationers during the tourist season," the police response states.
