The Korça Court has sentenced Enedjo Guri to 12 years in prison, who about a year ago stabbed his peer, 14-year-old Erald Xhejo, to death in the village of Pirg in Maliqi. The decision was given on September 9 by the Korça Court's trial panel, which, after reviewing the evidence in the criminal case, found Guri guilty of the criminal offense of "Intentional Murder".
Other people have also been sentenced for this incident. Roland Guri, Enedjo's uncle, was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison, while Flori Çela was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison, after helping the perpetrator escape in a vehicle after the incident. Meanwhile, Enedjo Guri's father was found not guilty.
The serious incident occurred on August 14, 2025, after a conflict between two minors, allegedly related to a previous fight.
The footage administered in the investigative file has documented the moments of the clash. In the video, Enedjo Guri is seen chasing the victim with a knife in his hand, while 14-year-old Xhejo tries to defend himself. During the fight, the 14-year-old was stabbed in the chest. The wound proved fatal and Erald Xhejo lost his life. Enedjo Guri is currently isolated in the Juvenile Institute in Kavajë, where he is expected to serve the sentence given by the Korça Court.
