Blerina Basha, the mother of 3 minor children, whose case was reported yesterday in Durrës, has once again tried to clarify her position.

She said the house was in that condition because there had been no drinking water in the building for several days. She said she had to work and left her children at home, but she would never abandon them.

"I have family, but they are outside at the moment because they are not well off economically. The house is ok, it was not in order, but not in that condition. The children were inside and the ex-mother-in-law came because I raised them with the idea; you have a father, a grandmother. When my ex-husband got out of prison, he started paying 180 thousand lek for the children. But what will I do if I stay at home? I have 300 thousand lek in rent. The children were at school, but they were sick. I had sent a report to the school. There were also two weeks of vacation. School started on Monday, on Tuesday the floods happened and they stayed at home. Today we are without water in the building. We have electricity, but no water. I am not a mother who abuses children. I am not a mother who abandons children, because if I wanted to, I would have done it in time," she told BW and News24.
