Tina Pajollari, the 21-year-old from Korça, accused of involvement in the serious incident of the murder of Martin Çeço in 2022, in a telephone interview given to the author of the show "With an Open Heart", Evis Ahmeti, has denied any connection to the crime and has raised strong accusations against State Police employees.
Pajollari said that during his three-year period in prison, he faced pressure during investigations into a criminal case related to this murder, recalling that he was escorted and held for three days in a hotel near the police premises.
"I was under constant pressure to change my statements. They told me that if I didn't admit it, I would end up in prison," she said during an interview on the show "With an Open Heart."
Pajollari also claims to have experienced harsh treatment and threats during this period, including physical violence, and adds that he has also presented these claims in court.
She said that during her time in prison she contacted psychologists and insisted that she was innocent, denying any involvement in the criminal incident for which she was sentenced to 20 years in prison in the first instance.
Meanwhile, defense lawyers have stated that they will appeal the court's decision, requesting a review of the case and her exclusion from charges of involvement in the murder.
Tina Pajollari: I was little, the constant pressure from the police made me change my version.
It is not true that the show "With an Open Heart" promised me anything after the interview, nor did the show's journalist.
The 3 years in prison were difficult, I had problems with prison for a month, then I got used to it. I spent most of my time alone. People from outside would come and do activities in prison, but I wasn't involved.
In prison, I told him my truth.
I spoke to the psychologists in prison, I told them that I was innocent and had nothing to do with that event, but I was forced to give a different version by the police.
I felt very bad, I became sick after hearing the verdict of 20 years in prison.
Defense lawyers have just left the courtroom and announced that they will appeal the court's decision, where they asked not to be involved in the murder of Martin Çeço. In 2022, on the show "With an Open Heart", Pajollari said that he had no acquaintance with the victim at all.
The police demanded that I admit that I knew Martin.
The police kept me in a hotel near the police station for 3 days and pressured me to admit to knowing Martin Çeço.
They treated me very badly, they held me, they threatened me, if you don't accept it you will rot in prison.
There was also physical violence against me, there were many police officers, I remember two. If I see them and remember them, I will tell you their names.
I made these claims in the courtroom. The first instance court did not take into account any of the words I said.
