Iranian state television reported today that the country's new supreme leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has been wounded in combat.
The media did not provide further details about the extent of his injuries or how and where he suffered them.
Mojtaba Khamenei was declared Iran's new supreme leader overnight, replacing his father, Ali Khamenei, who was killed in US-Israeli strikes in the first salvo of the war on February 28.
However, he has not been seen in public since the fighting began 10 days ago.
