The city of Pogradec will bid farewell today to the Martyr of the Homeland, Enea Mekolli, who lost his life in the line of duty.
Tributes in his honor will be held near the Pogradec Cultural Center, from 10:00 to 12:00, where family, friends, colleagues and citizens will gather to express respect and gratitude for his sacrifice.
The funeral ceremony will be held at 14:00 PM in the village of Blace, where Enea Mekolli will rest amidst the pain of his family and the honor of his community.
His figure will be remembered as a symbol of dedication, responsibility, and service to the country, while the sacrifice made in the line of duty remains a high act of patriotism.

Police officer Enea Mekolli was killed during a police operation that was taking place in Korça to capture a highly wanted fugitive, Violand Braçellari, who during this action immediately opened fire on the police, killing one person and wounding another.
