The Tirana Court has announced the verdict for two former officials of the Police Supervision Agency, Artjol Saliasi and Gëzim Sala, who are accused of abuse of office.
The black squads have sentenced both former officials to 9 months in prison, while due to the summary trial the sentence was reduced by 1/3, ultimately converting it to 6 months in prison.
However, the court decided to suspend the prison sentence and convert it to 1 year of probation.
Two former AMP officials were investigated after suspicions that they had not respected the law during the procedure followed for the employment of Muqi Shaljani, who lost his life a few days after the assassination attempt that occurred in November last year in Rinas, in this agency.
Gilmando Dani also lost his life in that serious incident, while investigations continue to fully elucidate the circumstances of the assassination.
