The number of people arrested in connection with the murder of a tourist in Ksamil has risen to 12, an event where 20-year-old Miguel Mendes was shot to death after a conflict on the premises of the "Principotes" hotel.

Journalist Klodiana Lala reports that among those arrested is Moisid Matushaj, 24, a resident of Gjirokastra, who works as a Criminal Investigation Specialist at the Gjirokastra Local Border Directorate. Matushaj is suspected of having helped the alleged perpetrator, 29-year-old Sokrat Vata, flee the scene after the murder.
According to the investigation, Matushaj worked as a bodyguard for the company "Elite Security", together with Sokrat Vata, at the "Principotes" bar.

Meanwhile, the owner of the "Principotes" bar, Bekim Bulica, has been declared wanted. He is suspected of being the shadow owner of the hotel in Ksamil, while his mother, Kade Bulica, 72, appears on the ownership documents.
Luciano Seferi, an employee at the Fier prison, has also been arrested. According to information, Seferi had started working at the beginning of August, having previously served at the Bënça prison.

According to preliminary investigations, the incident is suspected to have started after a conflict over weak motives, while one of the leads being verified is related to a woman.

Miguel Mendes had come to Ksamil with a group of tourists to spend his holidays in southern Albania. He was found dead from stab wounds.
29-year-old Sokrat Vata, a resident of Has and employed as a lifeguard at the "Principotes" hotel, is suspected of being the perpetrator of the murder. After the crime, he fled the scene, but was located by the police and arrested in Fier.

Investigations continue to fully elucidate the circumstances of the incident and the role of the 12 arrested people.
