MP Enno Bozdo stated that Albania is currently facing an oil crisis. During his speech in the Assembly, Bozdo emphasized that the minister must provide explanations as to why the country is in this situation and that there are no security reserves.
He stressed that fuel prices in Albania are very high and that the government works only to fill its pockets and not for Albanians. He described the Transparency Board as a mockery.
"It is painful to see that Albania does not own a single gram of oil in the security reserve and not to think that perhaps we may receive a request from the relevant institutions to release this request. Today we do not even have security reserves. While the crisis continues, we are looking up to the sky, hoping that this crisis will be resolved. The Prime Minister was forced to lie because the truth is that we are in a state of panic and this makes us look very bad towards ourselves and the EU. The price of fuel has gone into the stratosphere and the crisis has taken its toll. But the draft law, whenever it is approved, will not solve anything. How will you finance the Security Reserves Authority? We have the most expensive oil in the world, we have the most burdensome fiscal structure that goes to fill the government's pockets," he said.
