Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has issued strong accusations against Israel during a meeting of his party, stating that Ankara has pursued a cautious policy to keep Turkey away from escalating the conflict in the Middle East.

Referring to the recent crisis with Iran, Erdogan said that Turkey managed to keep the country out of the "ring of fire" thanks to a policy based on logic, prudence and justice. "With our policy, we did not allow a single drop of blood to be shed and we did not fall prey to Israel's games that aim to create new conflicts in the region," he said.
The Turkish president also praised the role of state institutions and Turkish diplomacy, emphasizing that his country contributed to managing one of the most dangerous crises since World War II through negotiations and diplomatic interventions.

In his statements, Erdogan accused Israel of not being interested in peace and of trying to undermine any agreement reached in the region, including efforts to reduce tensions between the United States and Iran.

“We know that Israel does not tolerate even the slightest chance for peace. There is a mechanism that has made violence and occupation state policy and that is trying to prevent any agreement reached with great effort,” he declared. Erdogan added that Turkey will continue to support any initiative aimed at a permanent solution to the crisis with Iran and maintaining stability in the Middle East. “As Turkey, we will not hesitate to do our part to ensure peace and we will continue to support any effort for a lasting solution to the crisis,” the Turkish president concluded.
