A Florida retiree has gone viral online due to his resemblance to Jeffrey Epstein, forcing him to publicly respond to clarify that he has no connection to the notorious financier, involved in several serious scandals.
The man, who introduces himself as "Palm Beach Pete," has opened a social media account under the name "Jo Epstein," where he posted a video to explain the situation. "Hi everyone, I'm Palm Beach Pete and my video went viral because someone accidentally filmed me driving without me knowing," he says.
According to him, his life has changed significantly after the video was released, as he has received a large number of comments regarding his appearance. In the video, a person is also heard asking him: “So, you’re not Jeffrey Epstein?”, while he replies: “I’m not Jeffrey Epstein. I’m Palm Beach Pete.”
In an interview with TMZ, the retiree said he had attended events with Epstein in the past, but stressed that he had never met or spoken to him. He described him as a mysterious figure whose source of wealth was unknown to many.
"I'm just a regular guy, retired. I've lived here for a long time, I like to play tennis and I'm very social," he said. Meanwhile, his new Instagram account has gained thousands of followers in a very short time.
