Activist Arben Kola has been released after 72 hours in prison, while in a statement for News24 declared that the protest against the government will not stop.

Kola said the court's decision to release him shows, in his opinion, that the arrest was illegal. The activist also accused the government of confronting the protesters through violence, while emphasizing that their response will be peaceful.

"The court gave its verdict, the arrest was illegal. This shows that Ramovic has decided to face violence, we respond with peace. I protest for the overthrow of this corrupt government that has destroyed Albania," said Kola.

Activist Edison Lika also stated that the arrests will not stop the protests, calling for citizen participation.

"We protest for security, against criminal gangs. We invite all citizens to unite today and every day in the square. This regime must be overthrown once and for all," Lika declared.
