Italy's spectacular failure led to the inclusion of Carlo Ancelotti in the list of post-Gattuso coaches, after the "azzurri" technician broke a major taboo by agreeing to sit on the bench of a representative team for the first time in his career. In Italy, at least the media, hoped that Ancelotti would accept a possible offer from the Italian Federation, but apparently this track has faded without being well lit as Carlo Ancelotti feels good in Brazil and it is only a matter of procedures and time for the contract renewal with Brazil to become official.
According to ESPN, these days, the Brazilian Federation and Carlo Ancelotti have found a total agreement to continue their collaboration. Ancelotti will sign a new contract valid until 2030, so Ancelotti will lead the 5-time world champions to another World Cup.
The formalization of this agreement will take place in the coming days, in order to go smoothly in this way to the FIFA2026 World Cup that will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico. According to ESPN, Ancelotti will benefit from 10 million euros per year from the new contract with the Brazilian Federation.
