Another operation to crack down on drug distribution cases has been finalized in Korça, leading to the arrest of one person and the release of another.

According to information, yesterday evening, the Police services stopped a vehicle with two people. During the pursuit, the passenger threw away a bag suspected of containing the narcotic substance cannabis sativa.

During the search, 31-year-old EB, a resident of Vlora, was also found to be carrying a knife on his body.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle, ES, a resident of Korça, did not stop for the police forces, who followed the vehicle. After the search, the blue uniforms found narcotics and a cold weapon.

Following the actions, the investigation structures at the Korça Local Police Directorate have arrested 31-year-old EB, while the driver of the vehicle, ES, has been released on bail.

The procedural materials have been transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Korça Court of General Jurisdiction for further action.
