The problem of lack of access to housing and land in the Ajasëm neighborhood of Shkodra has been ongoing for three years, while residents say they still have not received a concrete solution from local institutions.
A group of residents, together with the whistleblower Zef Vuksani, together with the journalist of the show "TakFak" in News24 who has followed the steps to solve this problem, requested a meeting with the mayor, but were received by the deputy mayor Alban Preka, representative of the Municipality of Shkodra.
Speaking to "TakFak", Preka stated that the municipality is aware of the problem and that field verifications are being carried out for the possibility of opening a road in the area.
However, he did not give a specific deadline for the intervention, emphasizing that the process is still under review.
Residents, on the other hand, express dissatisfaction with the lack of a solution, emphasizing that they have been waiting for a decision on access to their properties for three years.
Zef Vuksani stated that the situation has become unacceptable and that the institutions have had sufficient time to intervene.
After the meeting, the residents warned that they will organize a protest in front of the Shkodra Municipality until a final solution is found to open the road and restore access to their properties.
