The Ministry of Defense announces that 27 fires have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours. Five of them remain active, while two others are being monitored.

42 firefighting vehicles and 371 operational forces have been deployed to deal with the situation. 153 Armed Forces personnel, 6 firefighting vehicles, an AF ambulance, 4 helicopters and an Air Force "Air Tractor" aircraft have also been deployed to support the operations.

Kavaja and Tirana

In Cikallesh, in the municipality of Kavaja, teams continue to work to eliminate the remaining hot spots. The situation does not appear problematic and there is no risk to residential areas.

In Dajt and Priska e Madhe, the situation continues to be monitored and so far no danger to homes has been reported.

Mallakastra

In the Panahor–Ndrenie–Vlosh area, the fire is under control. In Koilaç–Greshicë/Hekal, the situation has also stabilized and there is no danger to residential areas.

Kruje

In Abaze, the fire has been reduced to small fires and does not pose a danger to the community.

In Krastë, due to the difficult terrain, the intervention is being supported from the air with an Air Force helicopter. There are no homes near the fire and no direct danger to the community is reported.

Kurbin

In Vilëz, the fire continues to be active. The intervention of two Armed Forces helicopters yesterday has curbed the spread of the flames and averted danger to the church, cemetery and homes.

Meanwhile, during the last 24 hours, several other fires have been completely extinguished, including those in Xhaferaj–Oblikë, Spatharë and Kodra e Butë in Cërrik.

AKMC and the structures of the civil protection system continue to monitor and coordinate field operations, with priority given to protecting the lives of citizens, homes and residential areas.
