The Deputy Mayor of the Tirana Municipal Council, Endrit Braimllari, spoke at the council meeting regarding the approved assistance for residents affected by the fire that engulfed a building on Dibra Street, near the QSUT, a few days ago.

During his speech, Braimllari described the event as a disaster, emphasizing that the intervention of institutions was necessary to cope with the consequences of the damage caused.

"We are dealing with a disaster, but state institutions, and specifically municipal ones, have brought these draft decisions to ease the burden created by the irreparable damage to residents' apartments. Residents deserve service and state institutions are standing by to support them," he said.

Braimllari also stopped at the moments of the fire, evaluating the response of the emergency structures, which according to him avoided a more serious tragedy.

"The fire that broke out at the building on Dibra Street fortunately did not turn into a tragedy, thanks to the immediate intervention of emergency forces, especially the Tirana fire brigade, which reacted professionally and quickly," he stated.

In conclusion, he thanked the firefighting teams for their commitment and professionalism in managing the situation, emphasizing that the safety of citizens was guaranteed thanks to their timely response.
