Elbasan firefighting forces are engaged in the fire extinguishing operation that has included the Lundra area, in the Municipality of Tirana, joining other firefighting forces on the ground.
The news was announced by the Elbasan Municipality through an announcement published on its official website, which notes that the Elbasan fire station is currently on the ground, in support of the operation to deal with the situation.
According to the municipality, the situation is difficult, as the flames have spread near homes, increasing the risk to property and the safety of residents. For this reason, firefighters have positioned themselves to protect homes, while efforts continue to bring the fire under control.
In difficult conditions, due to high temperatures, drought and wind, the intervention of firefighters requires maximum commitment and coordination between the structures on the ground. The presence of Elbasan forces in this operation shows once again the importance of inter-municipal cooperation in emergency situations, especially during the fire season.
Through the announcement, the Municipality of Elbasan has also conveyed a strong appeal to citizens, asking for maximum caution during these days of high temperatures and favorable conditions for the rapid spread of flames.
"A small carelessness can turn into a big fire in a matter of minutes," warns the municipality, emphasizing that an uncontrolled fire can endanger homes, property and, above all, people's lives.
Citizens are asked not to light fires in open spaces, not to throw cigarette butts in dry or vegetated areas, and to immediately notify authorities if they detect a fire.
A quick notification, emphasizes the Municipality of Elbasan, can make the difference in preventing the spread of flames and avoiding more serious consequences.
At the end of the announcement, the Municipality of Elbasan expressed its gratitude and respect for the firefighters who are on the front lines of danger, fighting the flames and working to protect residents and property.
The engagement of Elbasan's firefighting forces in Lundë comes at a time when high temperatures, drought and winds favor the spread of fires, making citizen awareness and timely response an essential element for the safety of communities.
