Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the Zvërnec area is expected to become one of the most important tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. In a statement from the Socialist parliamentary group, Rama said that the situation created by the recent debates and criticisms has made him reflect on the possibility of withdrawing from political life, but according to him, he has decided to continue leading the country.

"These are very surprising days for me. For the first time, they have made me think about how to humble myself for the great honor you have done me and to apologize for running away to the village and leaving you in the hands of those you will choose to protect Albania from foreigners," he said.

However, the Prime Minister added that he has chosen to continue the political and development project that, according to him, aims to turn Albania into a country with a strong tourist image.

Edi Rama: These are very surprising days for me. For the first time, they have made me think about humbly thanking you for the great honor you have done me and apologizing to you for running away to the countryside and leaving you in the hands that you will choose to protect Albania from foreigners. But I have chosen to lead you towards that Albania that I love as much as you do and in the same way that you love it and to lead you to conclude what we have started together thanks to your vote, with which we have raised the head of every Albanian wherever he is and with which I want to make Albania a place that has a destination to be envied and this project is part of that.
