Carlos Alcaraz delivers a spectacle at the Paris Masters 1000! The Spanish tennis player triumphed in a dramatic match against American Taylor Fritz, winning 2-1 with sets: 6-7, 7-5 and 6-3.
A match with strong emotions, where Alcaraz showed the character and class of a great champion. After losing the first set in a tie-break, the Spaniard reacted fantastically in the second, overturning the disadvantage and even saving a match point against Fritz. In the decisive set, Alcaraz took complete control of the game, sealing the victory and qualification for the semifinals.
A bittersweet elimination for Taylor Fritz, as a victory would have secured the American's last ticket to the ATP Finals.
This success benefits Alcaraz's compatriot, Rafa Jodar, who secures his first participation in the season's top eight tournament, in Turin. The ATP Finals will take place from November 15 to 22.
