Five people were rescued in Dhërmi. These citizens were in danger of drowning at sea after their boat broke down and they were in danger of drowning at sea.
Immediately after receiving the notification that a dinghy sailing towards Porto Palermo had broken down, Border Police services immediately headed towards the signaled location.
After locating the vessel, the Police services intervened to provide assistance to the driver of the dinghy and the 4 citizens on board, who were escorted by the Border Police vessel to the shore, in Porto Palermo.
The 5 citizens are in good condition thanks to the timely intervention and assistance provided.
The Border Police appeals to all drivers of watercraft to show increased caution, to consider weather conditions and to avoid going out to sea when they pose a risk to their safety.
