The map of attacks in the Middle East has expanded following the escalation of the conflict and attacks by the US and Israel on Iran.
Security Expert Redion Qirjazi on the show “Studio24” on News 24, analyzed the situation and the war in Iran, also focusing on Albania if it is at risk of being affected.
During the interview, he explained some of the reasons why the risk of Albania being affected is very low, while adding that Iran is a very rational country in terms of its decision-making and that an attack on Albania would be unprecedented.
"The probability that we will be hit is very low. Iran is very rational in its decision-making. A direct attack with ballistic missiles that could reach up to 3 thousand kilometers and reach Albania more or less would be unprecedented in terms of the level of damage to civilian infrastructure, the second would legitimize the activation of Article 5 and this would then give a justification for both the international arena and the American public opinion to take this conflict even further... Third, it would undermine the credibility of the regime internationally, so a strike in a country that is not directly involved, where Albania sees the shelter of the MEK in our country as a life-saving operation, that is, the protection of a group of people who were persecuted to death by the regime that runs Iran. So these are the main reasons, if such a thing were to happen, which as I said, the probability is very low and it would be good for us to calm down. Two scenarios could "If things were to happen, the first would be to activate NATO's Article 5, or rather, we would see one of those senior American officials sitting at the airport and 'instructing' our government not to seek an activation of Article 5 because NATO has no appetite for such a conflict and when we say NATO we should have America in mind," he said.
