Vlora police have cracked down on a case of trafficking in smuggled goods, where a 53-year-old man was arrested, while his son, 26 years old, has been criminally prosecuted.

Citizen P. Ç., 53 years old, was caught red-handed yesterday evening while transporting medical medications and mobile phones suspected of being smuggled from Italy by vehicle. The Specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of the Vlora DVP, based on operational information, have seized the goods and have launched investigations into the criminal activity of the two citizens, as well as the identification of others involved.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Vlora Prosecutor's Office for further legal action.
