A serious incident was recorded in the village of Rrushkull, in Manëz, Durrës, where a 37-year-old man hit his parents with hard objects, in front of the apartment where they live.
According to preliminary police information, the young man, identified by the initials EK and with mental health problems, raped his 72-year-old father, SK, and 69-year-old mother, FK.
As a result of the blows, both parents have sustained injuries and have been transported for medical assistance. The mother is in the Durrës Regional Hospital, in a stable condition, while the father, who suffered head injuries, is in serious condition and has been sent to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for more specialized treatment.
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old has been escorted to the Police premises for further action.
The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify the circumstances and motives of the event.
