A day after the tragic explosion in the “Beqir Dardha” neighborhood in Elbasan, where two people lost their lives and caused extensive damage to a building, investigations have begun to fully unravel the incident. This Thursday morning, experts from the State Police and the Prosecutor's Office arrived at the scene, who have begun examining and documenting evidence to determine the causes and circumstances of the explosion. The investigations come after the completion of the search and rescue operation and the recovery of the body of 69-year-old Hamit Ibra.

Experts from the Construction Institute will also play an important role in determining the situation, as they are expected to arrive in the area to assess the technical condition of the building.

They will analyze the damage to the building's supporting structure, its stability and the risk it may pose to residents. The results of the expertise will also determine the necessary interventions and whether the building can be habitable again.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Elbasan has announced that it will take measures to house families left homeless as a result of the explosion. For now, investigators are focused on collecting evidence and determining the cause of the explosion, while residents await the expert's answers to learn whether they will be able to return to their homes.
