French President Emmanuel Macron has called on French citizens not to trust poll predictions that show Marine Le Pen as the favorite for the 2027 presidential election.

During his visit to Germany, Macron stated that polls should not be considered as certain results and cited as an example the previous presidential elections, where predictions did not match the final result.

"Don't trust all polls," Macron said, adding that he knows of many cases where polls had predicted certain candidates as sure winners, but the election result was different.

"I know many people whose polls in 2016 showed them as sure winners, but this was not confirmed in 2017," the French president said, referring to his first victory in the presidential election.

Macron urged the French to have faith in the democratic process and the voters, emphasizing that a negative expectation should not be created for the country's political future.

"Have faith in the French people. Don't predict the worst for them and let them want the best," declared the head of the Elysee.

Marine Le Pen, the leader of the French far-right, has long been listed among the leading political figures aiming for the presidency in the upcoming elections, while the 2027 race is expected to be one of the most important political battles in France.
