"Tak Fak" in News24 continues to follow the issue of the Fier-Seman road step by step, after the denunciation of Nexhat Kulla, who has long been seeking intervention to improve this road axis.

Nexhat Kulla says that he has addressed several institutions, including the Fier Municipality, road traffic structures, and the Prime Minister's Office, but according to him, the concern he raised has not yet been resolved.

He states that he has filed four written requests for the regulation of the Fier-Seman axis, but claims that he has not received any response.

To verify the claims, the "Tak Fak" group went to the Municipality of Fier, where Nexhat Kulla confronted the institution's employees.

The municipality employees claimed that the citizen had received a response to his requests. But Kulla contradicted them, stating that he had not received any official response to the four requests he had submitted.

Next, the municipality employees requested that a written request be made for a response, while Kulla insisted that he had followed this procedure previously and had submitted four requests.

Regarding the problem of signage, "Tak Fak" turned to road expert Gëzim Hoxha.

Hoxha explains that the "STOP" sign must be placed before the intersection and at the specified height, while placing it improvisedly on a power pole, according to him, constitutes a dangerous situation.

The expert emphasizes that interventions to improve signage should be carried out before other victims are recorded.

According to Hoxha, with an intervention that can be carried out within a few hours, this segment can be completed with the necessary signage and the current situation can be improved.

"Tak Fak" also requested a reaction from the mayor of Fier, Armando Subashi.

Subashi stated that the Fier-Seman axis is not in the inventory and competence of the Fier Municipality, but of the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH). According to him, the responsibility of the ARRSH is the maintenance, cleaning, investments and interventions on this axis.

The mayor said that the current situation could also be related to a planned project for the reconstruction and expansion of the road.

However, Subashi emphasized that, according to him, the axis cannot be considered without signage, while adding that it may be necessary to install additional signage elements.

Meanwhile, according to information provided by the Regional Traffic Authority, for about a year now, the South Regional Directorate in Gjirokastra has been tasked with intervening to install signage on this axis.

The clash between the claims of the citizen, the Fier Municipality and the responsible structures raises questions about the implementation of obligations for the maintenance and signage of the Fier-Seman road, while residents demand that interventions not remain only at the level of complaints and statements.
