Enrica Bonaccorti, one of the most popular figures on Italian television, has passed away at the age of 76. A presenter, actress and author, she was one of the most beloved faces on the screen for more than five decades, working for both RAI and Mediaset.

Born on November 18, 1949 in Savona, Bonaccorti began her career in the late 1960s in the theater. In her early days, she collaborated with actress Paola Quattrini and with the artistic company of singer and actor Domenico Modugno. She then moved on to cinema and television dramas, also becoming a radio presenter.

Her greatest success came in the 1980s, when she established herself as one of the most popular presenters on Italian television. In 1987 she won the Telegatto award for “Female Personality of the Year”. In 1991 she hosted the first season of the famous program Non è la Rai. A year later she hosted the prime time program Vota la Voce, together with Red Ronnie.

In the following years, Bonaccorti continued to appear on television as a guest and commentator on various programs. In addition to her television and radio career, she was also a writer, publishing four novels between 2007 and 2022. In the world of Italian music, she also left her mark as a lyricist. Among her most famous works is the lyrics of the famous song La lontananza by Domenico Modugno.

At the end of September 2025, Bonaccorti publicly revealed that she was suffering from Pancreatic cancer, through a post on social networks. She revealed that for several months she had withdrawn from public life and even from her closest friends due to the disease. In her message, the presenter expressed that she had decided to speak openly about the situation and face it with strength, thanking the public for their support. Earlier, in September 2023, she had announced that she had undergone open heart surgery, during which four bypasses were placed. At that time, she had advised followers to take care and check their health regularly.
