Two people have been arrested in Vlora, suspected of being involved in the deliberate burning of a vehicle in the “1 Maji” neighborhood. The incident occurred on September 22, 2026 and was initially reported as an accident, due to a technical defect in the car’s engine.
The police inform that the incident was solved within the framework of the coded operation "Order", conducted by the Crime Investigation specialists of the Vlora Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office.
RK, 33 years old, and TK, 36 years old, both residents of Vlora, were arrested.
Investigations suspect that 33-year-old RK ordered 36-year-old TK to burn a vehicle owned by a 50-year-old woman living in Vlora.
The incident occurred at around 01:20 on September 22, in the “1 Maji” neighborhood. After investigative actions, the police were able to discover that the fire was not caused by a technical defect, but was set intentionally.
Investigations continue for full legal documentation of the case.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora, for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property by fire", committed in collaboration.
