A 47-year-old man wanted for the shooting death of a 22-year-old man and the theft of his vehicle has been detained at the Rinas border crossing, while attempting to leave Albania.
According to the Police, the suspect is citizen Klodian Ndoj, a resident of the village of Sandxhak, who was detained thanks to coordination between specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes, the services of the Kurbin Police Commissariat and the Border Police in Rinas.
The incident for which he is accused occurred in July, in the village of Sandzhak, where during a conflict over weak motives, the 47-year-old is suspected of having shot and wounded citizen VP, 22, and then stolen his vehicle.
In August, the Lezha Court had assigned the 47-year-old the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offenses of "Intentional serious injury", "Theft" and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".
After the detention, the procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
