The Basic Prosecution Office in Gjilan has provided new details about the double murder that occurred on October 9 in the village of Livoç i Poshtëm, where a 27-year-old woman and her 31-year-old brother lost their lives, while another person was injured.
According to the official announcement, the incident occurred at around 14:30. The suspect, VR, from Gjilan, is suspected of shooting his wife, NB, 27 years old, and her brother, EB, 31 years old, with a firearm, for reasons still unknown, causing their deaths. Meanwhile, MB, 48 years old, the son of the suspect's wife's uncle, was injured and is receiving medical treatment at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK). After the incident, the relevant teams of the Kosovo Police and the State Prosecutor arrived at the crime scene, who took the first investigative actions to clarify the circumstances.
During the investigation, authorities seized a “Beretta” pistol, which had an expired license and is suspected of being used in the commission of the criminal offense. In addition, searches were conducted at three locations related to the suspect’s properties, where other material evidence was seized. The prosecution announced that the suspect has no criminal record and that no cases of domestic violence have been previously reported against him.
He is suspected of the criminal offenses of "Aggravated Murder" and "Unauthorized Possession, Control or Possession of Weapons", as provided for in Articles 173 and 366 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo. The Basic Prosecution Office in Gjilan, in coordination with the Kosovo Police, has announced that investigations will continue to fully clarify the circumstances and motives of this serious event.
