The Special Prosecution Office has filed charges against two defendants, Leonard Duka and Drianto Bardhi, accused of providing the conditions and material means to commit the murders of Ervis Martinaj and Erigers Mihas.
SPAK is seeking a sentence of 10 years in prison for Leonard Duka and 6 years in prison for Drianto Bardhi. According to the indictment, both, in collaboration with other persons, provided the conditions and means to carry out the assassinations during the period June-September 2020, within the framework of a structured criminal group led by Duka.
The case is a faction of the file known as "Revanshi", where the investigations were based on thousands of communications leaked on the encrypted Sky ECC application, through which various plans and episodes of clashes between criminal groups were revealed.
Ervis Martinaj has been missing since August 2022, while Erigers Mihasi was executed in an assassination attempt in Tirana.
Leonard Duka was previously sentenced to 30 years in prison for the murder of former police officer Santiago Malko, known as one of Ervis Martinaj's close associates. Duka was found guilty of masterminding Malko's execution in August 2019.
